Earth Repairs Workshop

Earth Repairs Workshop

Join Kate Wall to learn more about the soil in your garden. Great soil makes growing great plants easy. It is also essential if we wish to create a resilient garden able to cope with weather extremes.

Kate will guide us through a variety of soil improvement methods and help us to know which method might be most suited to our own gardens. Soil improvement does not need to be expensive and product driven (although it can be!), and depending on the plants you wish to grow, may not even be necessary.

Bring along a jar of soil from your garden to learn more about what you have and what changes might be needed to turn it into the soil you want.

Healthy soil of any sort will require soil biology – life in the soil. Kate will cover this critical aspect of creating healthy soils, and how to use those microbes, working together with our plants, to turn our own backyards into a working carbon sink.

Kate will have copies of her books, Working With Weeds and Earth Repair Gardening for sale at the workshop. Her book Gardening After A Flood is a free ebook available for download from her website.

Cost: $25 per person. All welcome.
