Hi all,

Well, the sleepers have finally arrived at the farm and we can get on with the redevelopments (see below).  Thanks to all those whose plots haven't been redeveloped yet for your patience.

Also, It's heating up and weeds are on the warpath .  If you can make it to the farm, please pull out some nut grass along the paths or in the market garden.  Note: Nut Grass is placed in the green wheelie bins, not the compost bays.  By the way, If anyone has a better way of getting rid of nut grass, please let us know !

Things happening this week.

Saturday, 3rd Oct: Working Bee - Muscles required to finish off the sleeper redevelopments.  Get down to the farm early before the heat (from 6.30am).  BBQ lunch will be provided.

Sunday, 4th Oct: BBQ and  General Meeting - All members are invited to attend. So come along and have your say in the running of the farm.   Please read the agenda before the meeting as there are many things to be discussed in a short amount of time.  If you haven't received an agenda please send in an email.  BBQ starts at 11.30am, Meeting to start by 12.30pm

Saturday, 10th Oct: Art group -  Those interested in watercolours are invited to attend the art groups get together, to be held every fortnight from next Saturday.  More info next week.

Some things to think about in the coming months:
  • Novembers General Meeting will review the year thats been and look towards 2010.  If you have any thoughts/ comments on how things can be run better at Beelarong, please start thinking about it now.
  • Also, at the AGM, (to be held Early December) all positions at the farm will be vacated and up for nomination. Model Rules or the incorporations manual  are available for perusal if you are thinking of nominating. Contact Rob for a copy. A Committee manual is being developed as well.  Hopefully this will be ready in the next couple of weeks.
Hope to see you down the farm Sunday,

David
